St. Mark’s is a Roman Catholic School. The school teaches the Faith, doctrines and practices of the Roman Catholic Church, works closely with the Parish of St. Mark’s R.C. Church, and places Religious Education at the core of the curriculum. The Catholic ethos informs all aspects of school life. In line with the updated Religious Education Directory, EYFS and KS1 follow the Oxford University Press scheme of learning 'Lighting the Path', whilst KS2 uses resources and teaching guidance offered by Salford Diocese Education Department.
