Curriculum Highlights

National Curriculum is supplemented by first-hand and extra-curricular experiences, with literacy remaining central to the Whole School Curriculum. RE includes multi-cultural study of different faiths and communities. Harvest week supports learning about helping others, including the local charity Step Into Action (2025-26). British historical topics studied include Who first lived in Britain, Crime and Punishment in Year 4, Victorian Life, Samuel Pepys and the Great Fire of London. The School Council is split into six committees: Eco, Ethos, Sports, We are all Unique, Health and Well-Being, and Reading. The daily act of worship upholds traditional Christian values of Peace, Thankfulness, Compassion, Creation, Friendship and Forgiveness and promotes respect, tolerance and empathy. Pupils are taught to respect rules and laws of the land and to debate issues during RE sessions.
