The Hive at Irlam Endowed Primary School provides a specialist and nurturing educational environment for children with speech and language disorders and/or autism spectrum. The enhanced resource provision has 16 places for children aged 4 to 11. Historically, the provision was an 8-place Language Resource Provision opened in 1992, but this was extended in September 2024 to a 16 place provision offering places for children across the whole primary school phase. All children within The Hive have an EHCP and admissions to The Hive are via the Salford SEND Team.
Oversubscription criteria: First, places are allocated to children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) naming Irlam Endowed Primary School. The remaining criteria are Looked After Children and Previously Looked After Children, Children in need, Brother or sister, and Children living nearest to the school.
