All staff at Greenbank have a shared responsibility for supporting children with SEND. Staff receive regular training and guidance so that they can identify children who may need extra support and respond in a timely and appropriate way. We aim to identify concerns early so that support and interventions can be put in place quickly. We work closely with families and ensure you are kept up to date with your child’s progress, learning, and any support they are receiving. Greenbank works with the Local Authority, health professionals, and external agencies to provide the right support; an EHCP is not always required for SEND support.
Applications for a school place must be made through the Rochdale Council Admissions Team (online). If there are no places in your child’s year, waiting lists are used. Nursery admissions: ages 3–4. Priority for nursery places (if oversubscribed) is: 1) exceptional medical, social or educational needs; 2) siblings in attendance; 3) geographical proximity.
