Saint Joseph's is a Catholic school with Gospel Values at the heart of the curriculum. Religious Education is taught discretely using the Come and See scheme, children are taught about God’s love and Christian responsibilities, daily worship, assemblies and masses are part of school life, and the school aims to nurture faith and Catholic life across the curriculum.

Reading: Foundation Stage uses Twinkl phonics; KS2 uses John Murray reading approach; Oxford Reading Tree library; ‘We ♥ Reading’ culture; guided reading in KS2 with John Murray approach. Maths: White Rose Planning and Premium Resources; Maths Mastery Approach (concrete, pictorial, abstract). Music: Charanga scheme; weekly music units; performances and choir events. RE: Come and See scheme; Lectio Divina; Caritas taught; daily worship and special masses.
