Bursaries are funded by The Marjorie Hulme Bursary Fund and administered by an independent assessor; eligible families must indicate interest at application.
Junior School: Age 7–11; entry to Year 3 with two Year 3 classes; entrance assessment and a short taught task (no formal interview for Junior School). Senior School: Age 11–16; entrance examination (English, Maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning) usually in January, followed by informal interview for successful candidates. Sixth Form: Age 16–18; entry requires a minimum of six GCSEs at grades 7–9 (with 8–9 in subjects intended for study), plus consideration of prior reports and an interview.
