Our Lady & St Edward's Catholic Primary School is a parish school in Birkenhead. The Parish Priest Father Michael Coughlan works in partnership with the school to support the religious life of the school. Children attend mass on Holy days and for other special celebrations. They may receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent and the Sacrament of Eucharist during the Summer Term. Children attend class masses throughout the year and take part in Advent and Lenten trails in Church. Parents are encouraged to attend mass with their children to support their faith journey. Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist (First Forgiveness and First Communion) take place in School and is led by the RE co-ordinator and Parish Priest. Parents are invited to enrol their children for preparation usually in the Autumn term of Year 3.
