Welcome to Cathcart Street Primary School. Our Headteacher is Mrs C Cookson. The site presents Cathcart Street as a warm, welcoming, inclusive and nurturing community school with 226 pupils, offering a 2 year old provision, pre-school and a breakfast club. It emphasizes positive, caring ethos, aims to help every child reach their potential in a safe, calm and stimulating environment, and highlights values of acceptance, kindness and respect. A warm invitation is extended to visit the school.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes

Breakfast Club is open from 8:00am and costs 50p per child, per day. This provision is available for F2 to Year 6 pupils and is accessed via the Breakfast Club entrance on Dover Close, with payment taken in cash. The club takes place in the school hall and includes a drink and toast or a bagel, along with games and activities. Alternatively, children may enter school from 8:30am via the main playground, where they will go directly to their classrooms. This option is free of charge, provides a calm start to the day, and is optional; however, breakfast is not provided.
