The SEND Code of Practice identifies four broad categories of need: Communication and Interaction; Cognition and Learning; Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Difficulties; Sensory and Physical Needs. The school aims to provide the highest standard of education for all pupils, track pupil progress using a graduated approach, identify those with SEND early, ensure class teachers are well trained, stay up to date with best practice, work with NHS, educational psychologists, and play therapists, and collaborate with parents and outside agencies for a multi-professional approach.
