Head Teacher's Message

Welcome message from Headteacher Mr. Stuart Mycroft-Armer, welcoming families to Castleway and emphasising Castleway as a welcoming, inclusive family. Highlights include awards and recognition such as Wirral School of the Year 2025 and National Inclusion Champion 2025/26, with a focus on a caring community and high standards.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Breakfast Club is available from 7:30am – 8:55am (separate booking from 7:30–8:00am). After School Club is available from 3:25pm – 5:55pm (term time only). Both are bookable via the School Spider app or by contacting the school office.

SEND Provision

Castleway provides SEND & Inclusion support. The SENDCo is Mrs. J. McCarthy. The school collaborates with parents, external agencies and Wirral Local Authority to support children identified with SEND. The SEND information includes policies and guidance (e.g., SEND Code of Practice 0-25) and references Wirral Local Offer.

Admissions Criteria

Nursery admissions welcome for funded 2-year-olds, paid 2-year-olds, 15 hours funded 3/4-year-olds and 30 hours funded 3/4-year-olds, plus paid top-up sessions. Primary admissions are handled via Wirral Council; applications can be made through Wirral’s admissions processes. Castleway invites visits for prospective families.
