St John Vianney Catholic Primary School provides a full range of educational and pastoral support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school employs an Inclusion Manager (SENCO) to lead SEN provision, delivers high quality teaching with adapted curriculum and resources, uses pupil-friendly targets and individual education plans (IEPs), holds regular pupil progress meetings, and creates IPMs to support pupils. Families are involved through formal review meetings and informal open-door communication. The school seeks support from outside agencies (e.g., Community Paediatrics, CYPS, Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology) as needed, and regularly evaluates interventions and school policies to ensure accessibility for SEN pupils. Where needed, a key worker is provided for higher-need pupils and transitions to secondary school are communicated clearly.
