Carleton House is a Catholic independent school in Liverpool. The school motto is They can because they think they can. It follows Catholic faith principles, with strong parish links (Bishop Eton) and a Catholic identity reflected in policies and practice, including the Live Simply Award for sustainability, solidarity and service. RSHE is taught using the Archdiocesan programme Journey in Love, and the school follows the Liverpool Archdiocese Religious Education scheme.

After School Kids Club operates on site from the end of the school day until 6.00pm during term time. Online Booking System is used. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel places. Nutrition is a priority: meals are freshly cooked on site by a dedicated chef. Menus are regularly updated with child feedback. The school caters for all dietary requirements. Daily options include a meat and a vegetarian option, with sides of fresh seasonal vegetables or salad. There is also a daily jacket potato option or homemade soup. Week-by-week menus are published.
When allocating places, the Headteacher—supported and ratified by the Governing Body— considers: support for the school ethos including Catholic values; suitability to meet the child’s needs; application submission date; whether a sibling attends; priority for Nursery pupils for Reception; positive engagement with Open Mornings or PTA events; and SEND/medical information to plan reasonable adjustments. Reception places allocated in Autumn term for the following academic year; Nursery places in Spring term for the following year; Nursery and Reception admissions are handled separately. Siblings and current Nursery pupils receive priority if requirements are met.
Fees and charges from September 2025: School Lunches are compulsory for Reception to Year 6 (£916.00 per year). For Pre-school pupils, school meals are optional (£916 per year). A non-refundable registration fee of £50.00 is required upon submission of the application form. Fees can be paid annually, termly, or monthly.
