Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum is designed to recognise prior learning and is coherently sequenced to ensure learners are rich in knowledge and skills. National Curriculum is delivered in a way that is appropriate to the city, area and school. Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 frameworks with subject coverage and timetable hours. Whole school focus on Personal Development, including Relationships, Health and Wellbeing, and Living in the Wider World, with cross-curricular links and British Values.

Holly Lodge Girls’ College aims to provide meaningful and effective learning support for students with Special Educational Needs. The SEN information includes named staff such as the SENCO and SEND team, and references to a SEN Policy and SEN Information Report.

Admissions Criteria

Liverpool City Council Co-ordinated Admission Arrangements are used for the start of secondary education. There are no supplementary forms – the entire application is done through Liverpool City Council until a place has been allocated. Key dates for Year 7 admission are listed by the local authority and include National Offer Day in March. For criteria, refer to the Liverpool City Council coordinated arrangements.
