"Aspire not to have more, but to be more."
The ethos of Holy Trinity is Catholic. The school was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. The school is conducted by its Governing Body as part of the Catholic Church in accordance with its Trust Deed and Instrument of Government and seeks at all times to be a witness to Jesus Christ. As a Catholic school, we aim to provide a Catholic education for all our pupils. As a Catholic school, Catholic doctrine and practice permeate every aspect of the school’s activity.
Headteacher Mrs H Taylor welcomes visitors and emphasises that Holy Trinity is a faith‑centered Catholic school and that the school works with families to bring children to a deeper knowledge of Christ.
Clubs
Out of hours activities and clubs are Optional Extras. The Governing Body reserves the right to make a full charge for activities organised out of school hours, for example, parents pay £1 per club for any that are run by external providers or Wake Up, Shake Up Club which costs 50p per day for the childcare element.
Holy Trinity uses the four‑part cycle of assess, plan, do and review for SEND; plans and delivers targeted support through GAS (Goal Attainment Scaling) interventions or IAPs (Individual Action Plans); regular pupil progress meetings; involvement of external agencies when needed; management by the SENDCo; partnership with parents and carers.
Places are offered according to an order of priority in the Admissions Policy for the relevant year; when applications exceed places, priority will be given to Catholic children in accordance with the oversubscription criteria listed in the Policy.
All education during school hours is free. We do not charge for any activity undertaken as part of the National Curriculum. A contribution towards the cost of replacement will be requested for damaged or lost items; reading books must be replaced at full cost. Details of charges for other activities are provided in the Charging and Remission Policy.
