St Luke's is a Church of England (A)ided Primary School. Religious Education is an integral part of the school and taught throughout the school with instruction from the Bible, based on the practices of the Church of England. As a Church of England (Aided) School, children learn about Christianity using Understanding Christianity units and the Lichfield Diocesan Scheme of Work. In addition, the children are taught about Sikhism and Islam reflecting the religions represented in the local community. We are proud to be an official School of Sanctuary.

Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher A Grennan welcomes visitors to St Luke’s, noting it is a popular school with over 480 children. The distinctive Christian nature permeates school life, and the motto Aspire, Believe, Achieve guides aims for children to enjoy their best start to lifelong learning. Values include love, compassion, friendship, forgiveness, endurance and hope. The Head Teacher emphasizes partnership with families and invites inquiries, offering paper copies on request.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Breakfast Club runs 7:45am–8:45am with a light breakfast available 7:45am–8:30am; drop-off at the Community Entrance; children are taken to their classrooms at 8:45am. Afterschool Club runs 3:30pm–5:30pm; a light snack and a drink may be provided; Milk and fruit are sometimes available. Payment is made on Monday by envelopes with the child’s name. Fees: 3:30–4:30 £2; 4:30–5:30 £2; full 3:30–5:30 £4. A late pickup fee of £5, rising by £5 for every additional 15 minutes. Holidays playschemes also offered.

SEND Provision

Our SENCo is Mrs Carol Bannister (Assistant Headteacher) and she is supported by our Assistant SENCo, Mrs Vicky Bryan. We have strong links with the SEND team at the Local Authority, working with Educational Psychology, SEND support teachers, the Outreach team and the Special Needs Early Years team. Documents available include: SEND Information Report, Wolverhampton Local Offer, SEND Policy (and Wolverhampton SEND Local Offer - BSL - video), SEND Forms, Pupil One Page Profile formats, SEN Review formats and SEN Target Sheets.

City of Wolverhampton Council Admissions; Admissions Policy 2025-26; Supplementary Information Form 2025-26. St Luke’s CofE Aided Primary School is consulting on admissions arrangements for 2027–2028 (no change to Published Admission Number).
