Headteacher Miss Kellie Wilson introduces Hurst Green Primary School, emphasising a commitment to empowering every child to reach their full potential through a holistic, inclusive education guided by core values of respect, compassion, equity, aspiration, collaboration and responsibility.
Breakfast Club from 7:30am and After School Club until 6:00pm. External wraparound care is also provided by Jack in the Box nursery on site (private). The club runs from 8:00am until 5:30pm. RB Gym & Sport run holiday clubs during school holidays (excluding Christmas week).
We provide SEND provision aligned with the SEND Code of Practice, including Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) or Individual Education Plans (IEPs); classroom-based support with additional teaching assistants; targeted interventions; support from external professionals (occupational therapists, educational psychologists, etc.); social and emotional support including counselling; collaboration with parents; CPOMS for safeguarding record-keeping; SENDCo is Mrs Karadia.
Reception PAN of 60 pupils per year group (420 in total). Admissions are determined by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council via the local authority’s admissions system; apply through the Common Application Form (CAF) to express up to six schools. In oversubscription, priority is given to Looked-After Children and previously looked-after children, children with exceptional social or medical needs, children with a sibling at the school, and those living in the catchment area. Details available from the local authority; appeals process available if admission is unsuccessful.
From January 2023, school lunches are £2.40 per day and must be booked online via the School Grid website. Cash or cheques are not accepted for school meals. Meals for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. Meals must be booked by 9am; cancellations required by 9am if not attending.
