Head Teacher's Message

The Head of Red Hall joined the team in January 2019; the school has been in Lower Gornal for 150 years and is at the heart of the community. The curriculum is based on four key things, emphasising the link between knowledge, spoken/written/reading communication, high achievement, taking sensible risks, and partnership with parents. The school values spell CREATE.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Breakfast club is open 7.30am – the start of school; Afterschool club is open 2.45pm – 5.45pm. Priority will be given to children who require Monday to Friday places. Breakfast Club (breakfast included) From 7:30am to the start of school: £5.00. After School Club (a light snack is provided) Up to 5:45pm: £7.50. Late pick up (after 5:45pm): £10.00 plus your usual amount. Late pick up (after 6:00pm): £20.00 plus your usual amount. Please note payment must be made before service is accessed.

SEND Provision

SENDCo: Mrs S Darby; She is the main contact in school to support children with Special Educational Needs. Four broad ‘areas of need’: Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, and Sensory and Physical Needs. Local Offer and Dudley SENDIASS are referenced for further support.

Financial Information

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a Universal Free School Meal. School meals are provided by Dudley Catering and Client Services and are currently £2.40 per day for children in Years 3-6.
