SEND information including services available for children and young people with SEND and Local Offer.
Lindsworth School accepts pupils who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). Places are offered if there is a vacancy and the school can meet the child’s educational needs. Referrals come from Birmingham SENAR. Admission decisions consider: (a) whether the placement is appropriate to the child’s needs; (b) compatibility with the interests of other pupils; and (c) efficient use of the Local Authority’s resources. If eligible, parents/carers are invited to an informal meeting. Pupils joining KS2 or via Secondary Transfer have two ‘taster’ days, and in-year transfers have bespoke induction packages.
