Head Teacher's Message

A warm welcome from Acting Headteacher Michelle Goundry, emphasising a caring atmosphere, partnership with parents, and a focus on helping pupils gain confidence, self-discipline and respect.

Curriculum Highlights

Beaufort School provides a specific PMLD curriculum to meet pupils' needs. Informal curriculum uses six schemes of work: My Communications, My Sensory Play, My Physical Wellbeing, My Independence, My Creativity and My Outdoor Learning. Daily phonics sessions in Holly, Pine, Cedar, Lime and Lilac classes.

SEND Provision

All children attending Beaufort School have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) issued following a full assessment involving a range of professionals.

Admissions Criteria

Admission is determined by the Local Authority; Beaufort School does not have a formal admission policy. Pupils are referred from placement panels by the LA, which assesses suitability. Places are offered only if there is a vacancy. Parents are invited to visit, and formal paperwork is completed if a placement is offered.
