Sports
Cherry Oak School provides SEND support with all pupils having SEND and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school uses two learning pathways, Explorers and Connectors, with small class sizes (average 10-12). It employs a total communication approach including Intensive Interaction and Attention Autism, regular assessments, and EHCP reviews. Access to NHS professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and specialists for hearing and visual impairment is described.
Pupils are admitted following a referral by the Local Education Authority; assessment places are arranged on an individual case-by-case basis by the Local Authority. The Federated Admissions Policy 2024-2027 is published.
