Admissions Criteria

Sladefield Infant School currently admits 90 children into Reception, and this will continue in September 2025. We will then work with the Local Authority to decide whether the school can increase their PAN to 120 in future years. Overall priority is given to children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) that names Sladefield Infant School in the plan. Priority is then given according to the following: Looked After or previously Looked After children; Siblings (brother or sister who will be in attendance at the beginning of the academic year, in September, at Sladefield Infant School or Thornton Primary School); Proximity to the school (children who live nearest to the school); Particular individual needs; Children living outside the area.
