SMSJ is a Church of England Foundation with strong connections to its foundation churches (St Mary and Christ Church, Hendon and St John, West Hendon). Clergy from both churches are prominent in school life including on the governing body, via their contributions to the curriculum, worship and the school’s moral and spiritual provision. Worship at SMSJ is invitational and inclusive. Faith and action programmes include opportunities for charitable work, the Archbishop’s Young Leader Award, Holocaust education and partnerships with faith and community groups.

Head Teacher's Message

SMSJ is an all-through Church of England school in Hendon providing high quality education from Nursery through Sixth Form. It is part of the Wren Academies Trust and emphasises a Christian ethos with Wisdom, Service and Hope, aiming for academic excellence and wellbeing across three campuses, with collaboration between primary and secondary staff to provide a continuous curriculum.
