SEND Provision

The SEND Department supports students with Learning, Behavioural, Social and Physical needs, including English as an additional language. It includes a SEN Lead; Higher Level Teaching Assistants with SEMH, Maths, Literacy and Dyslexia specialisms; a team of Learning Support Assistants; an Educational Psychologist; Speech and Language therapy; and involvement from other specialists as needed.

Admissions Criteria

Christ’s School has 150 Year 7 places. Up to 60 Christian Foundation Places and 90 Open Places. Priority is given to Looked After/Previously Looked After children, then applicants with compelling medical or social needs. Category 1 Christian Foundation Places are for children whose family demonstrates regular worship in a Church of England church or affiliated bodies and resident in specified deaneries; Category 2 Open Places follow. Oversubscription decisions consider siblings in or of Christ’s School, parent employment, and proximity. Non-Local applicants require exceptional circumstances; Christian Foundation requires regular church attendance prior to application. Furthest distance offered in recent National Offer Day was 1.35km.
