Grangewood promotes a Christian ethos. The school states its main aims include teaching the stories and message of the Bible, presenting a Christian perspective on life, providing pastoral care, teaching moral values, and fostering care and respect for others and the local, national, and world community.

Special Educational Needs provision including dedicated SEN rooms and a specialist facility for KS1 and KS2 children with autism, using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to enable access to the curriculum within a 1:1 individualised programme (up to 16 pupils) in a mainstream setting; aims to include inclusion in all aspects of school life.
Children may start in the term after their second birthday. Parents are invited to visit or view the school; complete and return an enrolment form with a non-refundable registration fee of £40; an assessment is arranged and admission is confirmed in writing. A confidential report from the applicant’s previous school/nursery is requested. For Reception entry, assessment is selective and a place is offered if there is a vacancy, the family agrees to support the school’s behaviour policy and ethos, and sufficient support is available to meet the child’s needs. A Deposit Bond of £300 is required to secure the place; it is refunded on leaving provided the child has completed at least one term, appropriate notice has been given, no property has been lost or damaged, and all fees/charges are paid. No notice is required when leaving at the end of Year 6, subject to those conditions.
Fees per term (Sept 2025): Nursery (2-year-olds): £2,475.44 (less free 15 hours entitlement); Year Pre-Reception (3-4s): £1,522.40; Year Reception (5s): £2,475.44 (less £953.04 Grangewood bursary) = £1,522.40; Year 1–6 (6–11 years): £2,310 per term (£2,079 per term for siblings of current pupils). There is a 10% discount for the first sibling and a 10% discount for children of full-time workers in Church ministries. Fees are payable per term in advance. An Early Years Education entitlement grant from the London Borough of Newham up to £1,845 per annum is credited on the invoice. The school offers a bursary scheme for Reception to Year 6.
