SEND Provision

A strong Special Needs Department, with 4 teachers and some 28 support staff, provides specialist teaching and care for these pupils within the department and out in the school at large. Pupils who enter the school with reading and numeracy levels significantly below those required to access the secondary curriculum are provided with focused catch-up classes in Figures (Year 7).

Admissions Criteria

Year 7 admissions for September 2026: 199 places; applications via Applicaa; deadline 31 October 2025; required documents include baptism certificate and, for practising Catholics, the Certificate of Catholic Practice form (Certificate of Catholic Practice Form available below). Members of other faiths will require evidence of membership on headed paper provided by a minister or priest of their designated place of worship. Applications for admission to other years (Yr 8–Yr11, and current Yr 7) may be made at any time using the 2025 Admissions Information Form; Local Authority in-year application forms also required. Offers and waiting list process: Local Authority letter on 2 March 2026; accept/reject by 16 March 2026; waiting list updates; appeals on 9 June 2026.
