Curriculum Highlights

The Academic Curriculum embraces the Arts, the Humanities, the Sciences and Sport. Curriculum is written and delivered to stimulate curiosity, develop a passion for learning and delight in discovery. In Pre-Prep, the curriculum covers Art, English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, PSHME, Music, PE, and more, with cross-curricular links and outdoor learning at Castlebar Field. Accelerated Reader programme is used to develop reading in Junior School. Thinking and Working as a Scientist (TWAS) emphasis and ISEB Common Entrance / CASE preparation in the later years. Digital literacy and ICT skills begin early (Bee Bots, Purple Mash; Scratch in later years; Microsoft Office and Excel in Middle/Upper). Music, Languages (including French and Latin) and a broad Humanities and Sciences program run across Middle and Upper School.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Breakfast Club is available between 7:30am and 8:10am. Pupils can be dropped off between 7:30am and 7:45am. There is a charge of £7.75 per day (Exempt VAT) for Breakfast Club. After-School Care is provided until 6:00pm. After-School Care Supervisors support homework, reading and play; a senior manager is on duty each evening. There is a charge of £3.45 per 15 minute session.

Admissions Criteria

Admission is based on availability and an assessment process. For entry to Pre-School (3 years) and Reception (4 years), there are entry points and informal assessments; for entry to Year 1–8 admission depends on availability and is based on a written assessment, interview and reference from the pupil’s current school. Siblings have priority. A PDF Admissions Policy applies. To accept a place you pay the Acceptance Fee of £2,000 (including VAT). If a place is not offered, the Acceptance fee is returned in full.

Registration Fee – Pre-School (Exempt VAT) £150; Registration Fee (including VAT) £180; Acceptance fee (including VAT) £2,000. After-School Care per 15-minute session: Pre-School & Pre-Prep £3.70; Junior School £3.15. Breakfast Club £8.25 per day (Exempt VAT). Bursaries are means-tested financial support, may be awarded as a discount of up to 100% of tuition fees, and are offered to pupils in Years 3–7. A bursary application form is evaluated by the school via the Registrar.
