Head Teacher's Message

Welcome to Viking Primary School. The school aims to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment, guided by the vision 'Be the best you can be' (UNCRC Article 29). It emphasizes a rich, engaging curriculum where children are active participants, prepares pupils for secondary school, and values a UNICEF RRSA rights-based approach, forest school, and wellbeing supports. The message highlights high-quality teaching, community partnership, and the goal of helping every child reach their potential.

SEND Provision

SEND provisions include personalised interventions in Literacy, Numeracy and other subjects; additional 1:1 support in exceptional cases; social skills sessions; LSAs for in-class, small focus groups and 1:1 sessions; exam access arrangements where a specialist report identifies a need; detailed care plans for pupils with medical needs; Personal Education Plans (PEP) for looked after children with SEN; and involvement of external agencies as needed.
