Headteacher Naz Abaeian welcomes visitors to Havelock, describing the school as well-established in Southall, part of a diverse community, and a Gold UNICEF Rights Respecting School. The ARP was opened in 2021 for ASD and SLCN; the school uses a broad and balanced curriculum, emphasises the 5 Rs (Rainbow curriculum and learning-to-learn model), and upholds the motto: Success. Nothing Less.
Clubs
Breakfast Club runs 8:00 AM–8:45 AM; After School Clubs run 3:30 PM–4:30 PM.
Havelock provides SEND support through early identification and intervention led by the SENDCo (Ms Braid). Interventions are delivered by trained TAs and may be one-to-one or small group; Areas of Need include Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and Sensory/Physical Needs. The school works with Ealing LA and provides access to external services such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists, CAMHS, and Primary Referral Units. The school offers a range of interventions including Reading and Writing Support, Speech and Language, Maths Mastery support, Phonics, Colourful Semantics, Lego Therapy, Social Skills, Transition Groups, Occupational Therapy, Talking Partners, and Box Clever. There is an Havelock ARP for EHCPed needs (ASD, SLCN, MLD).
Admissions for Reception to Year 6 are managed by Ealing Council. 60 children are admitted into each year group (Reception and Years 1–6). In-year admissions are possible if space is available. For Havelock ARP admissions, an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) is required and referrals are made through the Ealing SENAS team; ARP admissions are not via the normal school admissions route.
Breakfast Club is £3.00 per day. 30 hours free Early Years education; 15 hours free for some 3- and 4-year-olds; 30 hours free education is available for eligible families.
