On behalf of Hambrough Primary and Nursery School community I would like to warmly welcome you to our school website and thank you for your interest. We hope that this web site will act as a guide to the way the school strives to achieve its vision of excellence and equality. By working in partnership we aim to raise our children to be happy, successful, independent and responsible learners who respect themselves and others within the community in which they live. Hambrough generates an atmosphere of mutual respect where friendship, honesty and tolerance are valued. We are committed to the partnership of home, school and community and through all parties working together our children will be sure of success. Here at Hambrough we ensure your child will be encouraged, motivated and guided to ensure that they develop their natural gifts and talents whilst becoming confident, independent learners who know how to make informed decisions about the choices they make in life. I am proud to be the Head teacher of a thriving, learning community with supportive staff, governors and parents.
The After School Club together with the Breakfast Club forms part of the government's Extended School Agenda. After School Care includes a snack and activities such as Reading Club & Homework Support (KS1) on Mondays, Movies & Popcorn/Gardening (Tuesdays), Cooking (Wednesdays and Thursdays), and Homework Support for KS2 (Fridays). From September 2025 there will be a charge of £5.50 per session to attend the After School Child-care provision.

Nursery admissions criteria include: Looked after children or children who were previously looked after and immediately after were subject to adoption, child arrangements order, or special guardianship order; a sibling attending the main school (not nursery) at the time of admission; distance measured by straight-line distance from home to the school postcode center; if equal priority, lots drawn to determine offers. Waiting lists are used to fill vacancies. Registration for nursery places is via waiting list form available from the school office. Nursery admission occurs when the child is 2 years 11 months, contingent on places available.
