Margaret Roper Catholic Primary School is part of the Archdiocese of Southwark and in the Parish of St John the Baptist, Purley. It is a Catholic school, but you don’t have to be Catholic to join; open to families from other faiths or no faith. The Come and See religious education programme is used in the school.

Outdoor grounds with memorial garden, pavilion, well-stocked pond, wild garden, outdoor classroom and all-weather Foundation stage play area Large classrooms with television, video, DVD and full computer equipment, with Broadband Internet access and Interactive whiteboards in each classroom An extensive games field adjoining the heated indoor swimming pool (loaned one day per week by our sister High School) The Thomas More Sports Hall is used regularly

Curriculum Highlights

Follows the National Curriculum for English and Mathematics with revised requirements from September 2014 Read Write Inc phonics scheme for Foundation stage and Key Stage One Religious Education following the Come and See programme Maths, Reading and Writing progressions; phonics and assessments aligned with national standards Homework is set on Google Classroom

From January 2026 - Friday After School Club sessions will be provided by external provider (Superstars Campz - School Holiday Activities Camps | Superstar Campz | Croydon). Opening Hours: Breakfast Club 7.30am - 8.35am; After School Club 3pm - 5.55pm. Charges (From September 2023): Breakfast Club £7.50 per session; After School Club £14 per session; Both Breakfast & After School sessions £20 per day. SEND Provision
