Curriculum Highlights

Building Learning Powers (BLP) with four dispositions: resilience, resourcefulness, reflectiveness and reciprocity. Knowledge Organisers (KO) used to ensure pupils know the information expected to be learnt, including essential facts, key vocabulary and maps/diagrams. Knowledge at the heart of the curriculum with a bespoke KO approach. Agile teaching approach that reclaims responsibility for learning and promotes higher-order thinking. Reading culture and reading for pleasure with Reading Ambassadors, a Reading Shed and other literacy initiatives. Phonics/Early Reading emphasis and structured progression from Early Years through KS2.
