Religious Education follows the Discovery RE scheme of learning, with a focus on Christianity and the other principal religions represented in Great Britain. It aims to develop personal reflection, spiritual development, critical thinking, sense of identity and belonging, and respect for others.
Anne Morrell, Headteacher, emphasizes that the core purpose of Beaumont is to improve the life chances of every pupil through learning within a creative and inclusive curriculum, underpinned by strong relationships, high aspirations and a focus on safety and belonging.
Griffins Wraparound Care provides a professional wraparound service for Beaumont pupils. Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am to the start of the school day with a healthy breakfast and various activities; After School Club runs from the end of the school day to 6.15pm with a light tea and a range of activities, including crafts, cooking and organized play. There are designated contact details and information leaflets available for registration.
All learning and activities are planned to be accessible to all learners, including children with SEND.
Beaumont is a one form entry primary school admitting children aged 4–11 in line with Croydon’s published criteria. A maximum of 30 Reception places are offered each year. Places are allocated according to Croydon’s published criteria, and the offer of a place cannot be guaranteed.
Griffins wraparound care charges (from September 2025): Breakfast Club £6.25 per day (7.30am–start of school) and After School Club £14.50 per day (end of school–6.15pm). Additional charges apply for late collections or non-pre-booked sessions. Beaumont meals are free for all pupils in 2025-2026 with Beaumont having an on-site kitchen and operating as a nut-free school. Lunch options include hot or cold meals with a salad bar; mayoral policy provides free meals for primary pupils in London. Packed lunches are allowed and should be nut-free and clearly labelled.
