Curriculum Highlights

Accelerated core in Maths and English to cover the full national curriculum and 11+ skills by the end of Form 5. Foundation subjects include English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Computing, PE, Modern Foreign Languages (French), RE, Art, Design Technology, Music and RSHE (PSHE) with Latin in Upper KS2. In Nursery and Reception, we use the Statutory Framework for the EYFS; In KS1-2, we teach all subjects from the programmes of study outlined in the statutory 2014 National Curriculum. The curriculum is based on a theme and high quality core texts each half term; opportunities to develop literature love, core subject skills, knowledge and skills in foundation subjects. We place great importance on creating memorable experiences within every topic taught, with a visitor, school trip or event supporting each half term’s learning; residential experiences are built from Reception onward, culminating in Form 6 with a full week away. The curriculum is designed to reflect school values, British values and global awareness, and taught with emphasis on how we teach.

Admissions Criteria

Admission is by assessment (an assessment morning in which the child spends time in school); offers are made regardless of religion and beliefs; registration can be made at any time; nursery entry offers are prioritised for those who commit to continuing their education through Year 6.
