Curriculum Highlights

Topic curriculum designed to replace IPC with a federation-designed broad Topic curriculum, with long-term and medium-term planning and a focus on knowledge, skills and milestones; high-quality texts at the core; vertical links across year groups. Cultural Capital and wider curriculum provision include growth mindset work, Zones of Regulation, Place2Be, student voice (pupil council), charity work, and engagement with local partnerships, arts, sports and worship. Cooking & Nutrition taught weekly in a purpose-built Kitchen Classroom across Years 1–6, with two-hour sessions split into two groups and a progression sequence (including essential knife-skill safety). Science taught through Switched on Science with hands-on, investigative learning, knowledge organisers, PLAN Primary science resources, and Explorify; STEM events and world/world-space related activities. Mathematics follows the White Rose curriculum with a mastery approach, small-step progression, and emphasis on reasoning and problem solving. English develops reading through a school library, synthetic phonics (THEP), and oracy development; writing driven by core texts. Modern Foreign Language (French) is taught to all KS2 pupils. Physical Education (PE) delivered through in-school sessions and external coaches via the PE Hub programme; swimming paused due to local pool refurbishment. Computing uses Purple Mash with each pupil having an individual username; units and online activities are integrated across the curriculum. Religious Education follows the London Diocesan Board for Schools syllabus; pupils visit places of worship; right to withdraw from RE and Collective Worship is noted. Home Learning includes Timetable RockStars and Purple Mash access, plus How to Maths Videos.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Wraparound care is provided term time from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. The cost per session is £8. The school is registered with the Tax Free Childcare scheme as a provider. Booking/sign up is via the school office. On Tuesdays, Cooking club runs 3:30pm–4:30pm and Multi-sports club runs 3:30pm–4:30pm.
