St John’s is a Church of England school; Christian values are reflected in nearly everything we do and influence how we treat each other. These values are not exclusively Christian but when brought together help to make our school the inclusive, caring and supportive school that it is.
Darren Rubin, Executive Headteacher, welcomes visitors and describes the school's aim for confident, resourceful, enquiring and independent learners who contribute to the local community and are happy.

Breakfast Club is run with Magic Breakfast; includes healthy bagels, cereals and juice; Breakfast Club is FREE for all pupils. After School Club timetable is available (Spring 2026); there are two community rooms in the new building used for parents and the community, including an IT Training Room and a Multi-purpose room with toys, refreshments and adult tables and chairs.
Place2Be provides emotional and therapeutic services in primary and secondary schools; each school has a dedicated Place2Be mental health professional who is an integral part of the school team; Place2Talk lunchtime sessions are available for individuals and groups; one-to-one and small group support is provided.
