Admissions Criteria

If more applications than places, admissions are decided in the following priority order: 1) Children looked after by the local authority, previously looked after children who left care under a residence or special guardianship order, or those adopted from local authority care; 2) Children with strong medical or social reasons to attend the school; 3) Children living within the catchment area who have a sibling attending the school and will continue to do so; 4) Children whose parent is a member of staff (two or more years) or staff with a shortage role; 5) Children who live within the catchment area and for whom Manorfield is the nearest community school; 6) Other children from within the catchment area; 7) Children living outside the catchment area. If distances are tied, shortest walking distance determines placement.
