SEND Provision

The Language Provision is a specialist provision within Globe Primary School for children who have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) with a diagnosis of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) or a diagnosis of Verbal Dyspraxia. Children attend full-time and get extra help, including weekly speech and language therapy. Staff have additional training (e.g., Elkan) and the provision operates with a high adult-to-child ratio to tailor learning for pupils with SEND.

Admissions Criteria

Globe is an inclusive, popular and oversubscribed school. Tower Hamlets manages admissions and Globe follows Tower Hamlets’ admissions policy, allocating places in this order of priority: (1) Children looked after by Tower Hamlets including adopted children who were previously looked after and children who leave care under certain guardianship arrangements; (2) Children for whom there is strong educational, medical, or social reason to attend the school; (3) Children who have brothers or sisters at Globe; (4) Children who live within Globe’s catchment area (Area 1 Stepney); (5) Children who live outside the catchment area.
