Curriculum Highlights

Kenya/East Africa focus in Year 3 – learning about the physical and human features of Kenya; making Kenyan necklaces. Year 3 – Tomb Raiders and National Portrait Gallery trip exploring Tudor history. Times Tables Rock Stars and Numbots used to support maths fluency (Year 3). Emotion Explorers program with Groundwork London exploring Zones of Regulation and emotional wellbeing. Year 4 – Climate Change Workshops and Design and Technology work (catapults) related to Romans unit. Move and Learn health project in Year 6 with Millwall focusing on physical activity and healthy lifestyle.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Breakfast club runs each morning from 7:30 am. Part time after school club runs until 4:30pm and full time after school club runs until 5:30pm. Prices shown in policy pages vary: one page states breakfast 3.50 per day, after school 3.50 (part time) and 7.50 (full time); another page states breakfast 4.00 and after school 4.00 (part time) or 8.00 (full time). Enquiries should be made at the school office at least 48 hours before the requested day. Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Priority in admissions for wraparound care: Children Looked After; identified social need; a brother or sister at the school; children living nearest to the school (distance). Nursery priority is given to families with other children at the school, those in the immediate area, or those with identified social need.

SEND Provision

Oliver Goldsmith Primary School is committed to providing a fully inclusive education and works with internal and external agencies to support pupils with SEND. There is a SEND statement, SEND offer, and information about the Local Authority’s SEND offer available on the site.

Admissions Criteria

Oliver Goldsmith accepts admissions through Southwark Council. Information on admission arrangements for the 2025 intake is provided, including in-year admissions. In cases of more applications than places, priority is given to Children Looked After, those with identified social need, siblings in the school, and those living nearest to the school. Nursery has its own priority criteria. Parents may request deferral for Reception if the child is of non-compulsory school age.
