The Executive Headteacher, Mr Assig, welcomes visitors and describes Mayflower Federation as a place for world-class primary education with a broad and balanced curriculum, interactive and engaging lessons, and an ethos of community, mutual respect, pride, creativity and ambition.
Aspire Childcare Project provides After School Club and Breakfast Club at The Mayflower Federation schools (Ilderton & Phoenix). After School Club runs two sessions: 3:30–5:45pm (£60 per week or £20 per day; Ad-Hoc – £25 per day). 3:30–6:45pm (£70 per week or £25 per day; Ad-Hoc – £30 per day). Breakfast Club runs from 8:00–8:55am (£20 per week or £6 per day; Ad-Hoc – £10 per day). Mayflower Federation is non-selective and state-funded. Admissions are handled by the London Borough of Southwark local authority. Admission into Reception is typically for children aged 4 by 1 September and applications are made to the local authority. If unsuccessful in Reception, there is a right to appeal to Southwark LA. In-Year admissions into Years 1–6 can be arranged, with waiting lists and advice to contact the LA for spaces in other schools. Nursery admissions policy is available from the school.
