Curriculum Highlights

Follows the National Curriculum with an inclusive, high-quality education. Curriculum is cross-curricular and topic-based with a literacy core text linked to the topic. Two main curriculum threads: rich vocabulary and significant people. Journey to UNICEF Rights Respecting School status. Adopts the CUSP curriculum model for foundation subjects with knowledge organisers and knowledge notes to support thinking and learning. Units are personalised; specialist teachers provide high-quality learning in art, dance, music and French; offers individual music tuition (piano, violin, guitar, drums, clarinet). Learning to Learn skills are developed through core values and assemblies. EYFS follows statutory framework with Development Matters and Birth to 5 documents; wide range of educational workshops, visits and visitors to embed learning in real life.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Wraparound Care Club runs until 6:00pm every weekday for children from Reception to Year 6. It includes outdoor and inside activities and provides a piece of fruit at the start of the session and a healthy snack. Lewisham Admissions: Applications are managed centrally by Lewisham Council. The order of priority is: (1) a child in public care; (2) exceptional medical or social need; (3) a child whose brother or sister is already on the school roll; (4) proximity of the home address to Torridon Primary School.
