Curriculum Highlights

The Immanuel Curriculum is designed to challenge all pupils to achieve the best they can and to progress in line with, or above, national expectations. The curriculum is language-rich with equitable delivery, cross-curricular links and deep conceptual understanding, supported by coherent progression and depth of learning. Assessment is used formatively in the classroom and summatively at set times; progress is tracked and moderated to ensure high standards. The curriculum is enriched through Christian values and ethics integrated throughout learning.

Breakfast Club and Afters Club. Afters for Early Years (Nursery/Reception) launched in September 2021, held in the Early Years building and playground; Children receive a light meal; Afters for Year 1-6; Open to Nursery–Year 6.

SEND Provision

Immanuel and St Andrew’s commitment to pupils eligible for the pupil premium has its starting point in the Christian Gospel, which recognises the uniqueness and value of the individual. The school aims to diminish differences in attainment through targeted interventions and excellent teaching; It offers Pupil Premium Impact and Strategy Reports and a Pupil Premium Strategy 2025-2028.

Admissions Criteria

Reception admissions are through the home Local Authority; As a Church School, Immanuel & St Andrew is its own Admissions Authority and requires a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) to be completed ONLY IF applying under faith criteria. Nursery Admissions and In-Year Admissions are made directly with the school. The SIF must be returned by 15 January 2026. Applicants must complete the Common Application Form (CAF) via the Local Authority and name this school; SIF instructions specify sections to be completed by different parties and the deadline for return.
