Religious Education is taught using the Kapow scheme and meets the Lambeth Agreed syllabus. In the Early Years, children are taught about different communities, celebrations and beliefs through topic-based planning. The curriculum aims to develop deep thinking about religion and worldviews and to prepare children for learning about different religions and worldviews in Key Stage One.

SEND Provision

Elm Wood has an Inclusion team led by Anya James (SENCo). The school provides SEND information and a local offer reference, with regular review meetings, Education Plans and staff training to support learners with SEND.

Admissions Criteria

Nursery admissions: born 1 Sep 2021 – 31 Aug 2022 for September 2025; Nursery offers full or part-time places. Reception admissions: born 1 Sep 2020 – 31 Aug 2021 for September 2025. Applications are managed by the local authority. In-year admissions require contact with the local authority. School visits for prospective Reception pupils occur in Autumn term.
