Curriculum Highlights

Phonics: Essential Letters and Sounds (ELS) daily phonics instruction for EYFS and KS1; Letters and Sounds progression. Maths: mastery approach with vocabulary development, visual representations, problem solving; cross-curricular links including enterprise/possibilities and real-life applications; use of TTRS and enterprise weeks. English: immersion–experimentation–innovation model; emphasis on speaking, writing and reading with high-level vocabulary; handwriting and spelling development including Word of the Week and Rainbow Writing. Reading: guided reading, extensive library resources, online platforms, End of Day reading sessions, and tracking of reading age; exposure to diverse texts. PSHCE: weekly lessons on Relationships, Health and Well-being and Living in the Wider World; Zones of Regulation and Growth Mindset; RSE and E-Safety. Science: investigative approach with Working Scientifically, six scientists per year, and links to class topics; science lab and field trips; emphasis on cross-curricular linking with other subjects.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Breakfast Club runs from 8:00am to 8:55am; After School Provision runs from 3:30pm to 5:45pm with a snack provided from 4:30pm; two separate Breakfast Clubs for Nursery/Reception and Years 1–6; fees apply.

SEND Provision

The Federation provides SEND support coordinated by the Executive SENCo, with a SEND Information Report and SEND newsletters; Keeping Children Safe at Stockwell.

Admissions Criteria

Nursery admissions: 15 free hours per week; option to pay a top-up to increase to a full-time place; some free full-time places available if criteria are met (looked after children or with a social worker’s support, Team Around the Child recommendation, or Headteacher’s discretion); 30 hours free childcare is available for eligible families via government provision; Nursery does not automatically guarantee a place in Reception. For Admissions to Reception to Year 6, refer to Lambeth primary schools admissions booklet.

Financial Information

Breakfast Club: £2.50 per day. After School Provision: £3 per session from 3:30pm–4:30pm; £8.00 from 3:30pm–5:45pm; £5.00 from 4:30pm–5:45pm.
