Headteacher: I have been in primary education for over 32 years. I have a passion for getting education ‘right’ for each pupil. Learning should be fun, and our job is about growing a passion for learning in every child. I have the highest aspirations for every pupil, including pupils with special educational needs. Pupils who have left Simon Marks always come back to tell us how smart they are at secondary school in comparison to their peers.
Breakfast Club and After School Provision
Admissions Criteria – 2026/2027: The school will admit 30 children to the reception class, including children for whom the school has been named in an Education, Health and Care Plan. In the case of over-subscription, priority is given to those who meet a religious practice test based on Chief Rabbi guidelines. Priority applicants must obtain a Certificate of Religious Practice (CRP) based on criteria such as synagogue attendance, prior commitment to Jewish education and voluntary community work. The order of priority lists look after looked-after children with CRP, CRP with Child Protection Plan, CRP with demonstrable acute medical or social need, children with a CRP who have a staff member as a parent, CRP with a sibling on roll, other children with CRP, other looked-after children, other children with a sibling on roll, and finally all other applicants. If applications exceed places, priority is given to those living nearest the school, measured by distance. The deadline address determinations are set at 15 January 2026, with similar rules for shared responsibility. Offers can be withdrawn if based on false information. How to Apply details, including CRP and SIF forms due by 15 January 2026, and that successful applications are notified in April 2026.
