Thomas Fairchild is fully inclusive and aims to identify and support special educational needs early. It provides access to Educational Psychologists, Specialist teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, CAMHS, and in-house Learning Mentor Support. The SENCo is Sophie Medhurst and families are involved in target setting and progress is reviewed annually.

Nursery and Reception admissions apply through Hackney Education, and In-Year admissions are processed under Hackney procedures; applicants should consider distance and may list up to six schools; nearest or preferred school may not be in the home borough.
Nursery offers 15 hours of free childcare, with 30 hours free childcare for working families if eligible. If not eligible for 30 hours, hours can be topped up at 100 per week. Extended hours are available 8:00–18:00; before school wraparound costs 3 per day; after school care costs 10 per day; daily bundle 12 per day. School meals are funded through the Mayor of London's free school lunch scheme.
