Curriculum Highlights

KS3 (Years 7-9) offers English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, and French or Spanish with a strong arts focus (Drama and Music) and rotation through Food Technology, Design Technology, Art and Textiles; Artsmark Gold Award achieved. Reading is prioritised in all subjects with interventions for identified students; Year 7 & Year 8 students have one hour of reading for pleasure in the library every fortnight. The curriculum includes four hours of PE and two hours of PSHCRE per cycle to support physical and mental health. The Choices Process in Year 9 includes information sessions and access to an Independent Careers Adviser. KS4 (Years 10-11) maintains 2 hours of PE and PSHCRE per cycle; typically nine Level 2 qualifications with English, Maths, Science plus Geography or History; option to study Triple Science, Further Maths and Home & Heritage Languages; regular topic overviews sent to parents. The Sixth Form offers a wide range of A Level and vocational courses (around 30) with a Level 2 Programme before progressing to Level 3, supervised study, and support for university applications and entry examinations. Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club runs from 08:00 to 08:30 and is free to all students; there are break and lunch periods, and after-school enrichment sessions and clubs available. All cashless payments are via ParentPay.

SEND Provision

The school provides extensive SEND support including Targeted Specialist level interventions, Phonics and spelling programmes, Reading development, One-to-One specialist SEND support, Social communication, and external agency involvement (e.g., Educational Psychologist, CAMHS). The Bilingual Support team aids EAL students, and wellbeing support is integrated through the Wellbeing programmes.
